“I love detail, especially some sort of embellishment that can transform a garment instantly. It’s always good to move out of your comfort zone each season, to learn new things and to challenge your senses.” Christopher Kane says and shows in the Summer Spring 15 collection.
This collection is nothing like the Christopher Kane girl we are used to. She has traded her usual cool kid look for cut-out and angular detailed dresses. The rope themed remained constant throughout the show, a theme that the designer has included in his work previously.
p.s.: the plum -esque colour palette is described as ‘back to school’ by Kane who pays homage to his high school Taylor High and its burgundy uniform colours.
