When mum is a tailor, it is natural to use her work as a source of inspiration and Osman Yousefzada did just that.
With embroideries and big tassels he presented a beautiful collection. In his own words “it’s a bit of escapism, nothing too heavy… they’re clothes that you put on and just want to transform you to somewhere else. Modern Woodstock.”
For such a varied collection the British designer desrcibes his dream client, recalling: “Probably Cate Blanchett. As a student, I was an usher at the Albery Theatre where she starred in David Hare’s Plenty. She left a huge impression on me: I watched her every night for six months whilst peddling my ice-creams.”
