Berlin fashion week is under-rated; Charlotte Ronson gave it a kick off it deserved.
The designer, who launched her brand in 2000, presented a collection adorned with simplicity and elegance.
Of her collection, she says: “was inspired by a daydream and, you know, the palette and feel.
“And I was lucky enough to work with this artist, Kim McCarty, who does these amazing watercolors of different… of people, of girls and also of objects. And so we worked together and went through all of her pieces and picked the daisy, so for the daisy print, and we also put the daisy on the girls’ toes and that was the inspiration because her work is all about painting with water and then make it.” She concluded: “It’s kind of that uncertainty to focus, which was the feel of the daydream, so it all kind of came together in its own way.”With flat sandals, floral prints and pastel colours, hues of blues and pinks played a predominant role, to overall give a graceful, edgy and innocent collection.
